The Tampa Bay area is really spoiled when it comes to great barbecue. Places like Mission BBQ and 4 Rivers are always crowd favorites. But there are a ton of local spots here in Tampa Bay that are amazing, too.
The first home-grown barbecue spot you should try is First Choice BBQ. Their restaurant is located on Adamo Dr in the Home Depot shopping plaza in Tampa. First Choice’s ribs are some of the finest in Tampa Bay.
Another great spot to try is Jimbo’s Pit BBQ in Tampa. They’ve been in operation in 1970, and they are notorious for their fire smoked BBQ. Jimbo’s Pit BBQ is conveniently located by Westshore Plaza, which makes it a great pit stop after a shopping trip.
Hungry Harry’s is another local spot for great BBQ. It’s located in Pasco County on US Hwy 41 in Land O’ Lakes. Just a little north of the other two spots. They are always ready to conquer your hunger, so make sure you bring a big appetite.
