We’ve lived through some strange times in the last year and everyone has been affected differently, including children even though they may not show it at home.

Schools are staring back up and children may start to deal with bullies or could possibly become involved in bullying unintentionally.

We’re happy to share with you news about a great Tampa non-profit organization that takes a really unique approach to dealing with bullies.

Hear more about a new program that helps kids overcome bullies by turning their focus to artistic endeavors (3:03) on the Experience Tampa Bay in 10 Minutes or Less podcast. You can also hear about CityPASS (:50) and a fun way to explore the Rainbow River (6:29)!

The non-profit is called Amrak. If you notice, Amrak is Karma spelled backwards. The goal of this wonderful non-profit, Amrak is to help kids undo their negative feelings that came as a result of feeling bullied. They accomplish this by putting the kids in movies, music videos and community activities. This allows them to tell their stories and build up their confidence.

Sean Roberts created Amrak six years ago, and the responses he’s gotten from those who’ve participated in the program is truly amazing. One of the greatest things about the program is that it isn’t limited to those who’ve been bullied. He even invites those involved in the bullying to help them overcome issues they’ve been dealing with.

You can find out how kids can be a part of this wonderful program and find out how to see films that have been produced by Amrak by visiting their website.
