I am a bonafide sushi LOVER! I want to introduce you to one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.

SUSHI ALIVE! It’s located off of RaceTrac Road in Westchase. Let me tell you why I love it so much. First of all, I enjoy the atmosphere. It used to be a sports bar, before Sushi Alive took over. And they’ve got the TV’s up in the bar area and around the restaurant so you can enjoy whatever sporting event you might be interesting in watching. They’ve got a big bar and surrounding bar area with special seating. They’ll occasionally bring in a musical act to entertain. The other seating area has some half booths and tables. And there’s a big sushi bar in the middle when you walk in, if you’re the type who prefers to sit at the sushi bar. Sushi Alive is definitely a place you can go for any special occasion…or just a great night with family or a date night.

Okay…now for the good stuff. Let’s talk about THE SUSHI. Sushi Alive has one of my favorite menus. I love their spring rolls, and there are plenty of choices for the little kids. Slurpee noodles or Cali Crunch, which is their tempura kids’ dish. The sushi choices are amazing. The fish is always fresh and they have great weekday happy hour specials for all of their nigiri, sashimi, and traditional rolls. Their specialty rolls are my favorite. I highly recommend the Hawaii 5-0 and the Yoshi roll.

I can assure you…you will not be disappointed if you try it…no matter where you live in the Bay area, it is worth the drive.
