This is a great sign of things getting back to normal. A Tampa tradition is coming back after a 2 year hiatus and it will have you seeing green! Mark you calendar Saturday March 12. It’s the return of Downtown Tampa’s River O’Green Fest. The City of Tampa’s official St. Patrick’s Day celebration will turn the Hillsborough River green again.
The Irish-themed party is centered around the Hillsborough River, which will be transformed into a bright shade of green for the occasion. The river provides a perfect backdrop to the celebration which includes live entertainment, games, kids activities, food trucks, and of course, beer!
According to the City of Tampa website, the festivities happen at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Mayor Jane Castor will turn the river green at 11am.
