With football season coming to an end, and if you are anything like me, I’ve been a couch potato for the entire season. So it’s probably a good idea to get out of the house and get that blood circulating. I am not one for the gym if you can believe it or not, but recently I found a spot that works. It’s a pretty cool little spot where you can have some fun, smash things and get that blood circulating.

A co-worker asked if I had ever been to a smash room. I thought it sounded interesting, its nothing dirty it’s just a place you go to break things. Nothing special, just junk that you can break, smash and crash everywhere. I ventured down to Smashbox 20. Its located at 3350 ULMERTON ROAD, SUITE 15 CLEARWATER, FL 33762.

This place exceeded my expectations, my expectations weren’t low, but this place smashed it out of the park. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. You get there, and you sign in. They slap a jumpsuit on you, give you a helmet, and off to the room. Make sure you don’t wear open-toed shoes; they are NOT ALLOWED! The room is filled with junk windows, junk vases, old TVs, and more. There is more glass than you’ll know what to do with, so get to smashing. Pick your smashing weapon of choice a sledgehammer, baseball bat, or even a golf club.

Here is the best part, before you get to smashing, they will ask you a very personal question. What kind of music pumps you up? My songs of choice were Metallica and some AC/DC!
