How would you like to bring some comedy to your front door? In May of 2020, a couple of guys put together an outdoor comedy show called “Curbside Comedy” in front of the country’s first live audience after the pandemic hit. Since then, they have received the “2021 Best of New Hampshire Magazine’s Above and Beyond All-Star Award” for entertainment. They’ve performed more than 60 shows in backyards, front yards, cul-de-sacs, breweries, corporate events, etc. and raised almost $10,000 for charity.
In 2021, they expanded to Tampa and added me and a hilarious New York City comedian named Michael Oldroyd to the team. I’m humbled to share that I’ve been on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I’ve been fortunate enough to perform at several big name comedy clubs across the country and have even performed globally. Our team goal is to make an immediate impact and spread laughter across Tampa and the greater Florida region.
What Is Curbside Comedy?
“Curbside Comedy” delivers live, socially-distanced stand-up comedy directly to consumers in the comfort of their backyard, event, or company. For example, we’ve performed at nursing homes. It is generally a 45-60 minute show that includes two stand-up acts, which have been honed around the country, and finishes off with a Q&A section for audience participation. Most importantly, we have strictly followed CDC and state guidelines to ensure people’s safety. They are accepting donations. A portion of proceeds go to a local charity of choice as well as Comedy Gives Back, a charity designed to keep financially-struggling comedians afloat during these economic hardships.
